1. The Trees
They are so beautiful- and the way the sun shines through them-incredible.

2. Parking next to peacocks.
We parked next to a peacock! WHO DOES THAT? WHERE DOES THIS HAPPEN? It was ridiculous and awesome- best parking lot ever!

3. Over-priced shrimp plates out of a truck? YES PLEASE!

4. How about those banana leaves?

5. Drinking from a coconut and other wonderfully touristy things!
Yeah, I drank out of a coconut. Yeah, I paid $5 bucks for a (kinda gross) beverage- and there wasn’t even any Malibu in it! I AM the super tourist. Walking around the beach “oohhing” and “ahhhing” snapping 60 pictures a minute, drinking out of coconut. Bobby kept teasing me that the only thing I needed was a giant map and a confused look. (Honestly, a map wouldn’t have been the worst thing.)

6. Finding secret places.
We found a fishing shrine of a Japanese god. It was this stone altar with offerings all around it. Flowers, bottle water, pennies, fruit- we almost took that bottle of gin but we were scared of angering the guardian god…so we only took a sip. Kidding!

7. Caves and sea turtles.

(*touristy coconut sighting numero dos.)
Also, GIANT sea turtle just relaxing on the beach…

8. The Danger!

Driving along the coast, we stumbled upon these amazing rocks by the ocean. I read the bright yellow sign: “Danger Do Not Go Beyond This Wall”. Bummer.  When I turn to tell Bobby… he is CLIMBING OVER THE WALL! What the heck? Inspired, (mostly by jealousy that he would get to see something cooler than I would) I followed. Surprising no one more than my own self, I made it! Yes, in a bathing suit cover-up and $2 flip flops from Target, I climbed the DANGER wall. Thank you.

9. Plants everywhere.
Coffee anyone? 100% Kona.

10. Snorkeling!
Swimming with all of the colorful fishies. It was like a dream. The only problem was I couldn’t stop laughing. I don’t know if I was just really happy or because Bobby looked so ridiculous in that mask! Or because I was thinking about how ridiculous I must look also. But we would be swimming along and I would start cracking up. I would get water all in my snorkel- and that made me laugh even harder. But I couldn’t come above the water and breathe because we were swimming in the reef and the coral was less than a foot away from my stomach and they made such a big deal about not stepping on it. There were a few moments when I thought I was going to be the first person in history who literally, died laughing.

11. (I know, I said top 10- sue me.)
A.Watching the sunset. B. Watching the surfers.
And here is one of Bobby surfing into the sunset…. JK! Some random guy. But what a life, huh?

If you are planning your next vacation, can I strongly suggest Hawaii?  Can I even more strongly suggest bringing me?

Sweet dreams.
