I was really craving some beach time yesterday (like everyday). Bobby wanted to take me to Newport Beach since I had never been. I was so so looking forward to the ocean and the sunshine… it rained. OF course! Seriously, the rain follows me. Which I would enjoy if I were in the mountains, reading a good book, drinking some chamomile tea…but not when I’m in California, at the beach, in flip flops with my starbucks drink, trying to pretend like I’m on The O.C. (What? Don’t judge me.) Still, I took a couple of photos before it started to pour.

We had lunch at this adorable diner at the end of the peer, Ruby’s. If you ever are in Newport Beach and wanting an amazing burger, go here! It was so yummy and it was fun to watch people fish in the rain while we ate.

Despite the rain, I had such a great day. Although, judging by the photo below, Bobby was less than thrilled. Obviously, we have not mastered the art of self-photography. But my arms aren’t long enough and it was starting to rain. We gave up quickly.
