Since moving to Hawaii, I’ve been blessed with so many great opportunities to collaborate with extremely creative people. One is the wonderful crew at Disfunkshion Magazine. I am just so in love and impressed with the heart behind this magazine.

Disfunkshion is a bohemian style magazine targeted at young women. It focuses not only on fashion- but art, music, advice, life, community, and spirituality. It has truly been an inspiration to me. Check out the website here but stop in your nearest Barnes & Noble store to pick up an issue. I’ve always felt there is nothing like holding pages in your hands. Nothing.

Viva La Vintage

Last weekend, my good friend, Jeff and I went to Savannah GA for some sun and salt water. On our way, we surprised one of our lovely friends, Erin Armstrong. This was a big deal because I hadn’t seen Erin in 3 or so years and Jeff had never surprised anyone before. He kept talking about it on the way- “This is crazy. I’ve never surprised anyone before. I can’t believe we’re doing this.” It made me laugh.

Erin owns an awesome vintage shop, Viva La Vintage, in downtown Hampton. We had to keep checking her facebook status on the way to make sure she would even be there. Lucky for us, she was. I still can’t believe I didn’t take more photos of her shop! I was just too excited I guess:)

Geneologie.

One of my favorite things about being a photographer is that I get to team up with a lot of wonderfully talented and creative people. Most recently, I collaborated with the fabulous crew at the Emory Group to create the new Geneologie catalog. The amazing Kelley Shaw directs and designs them all- and does a ridiculously good job. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing the last three. Tomorrow, we are shooting the fourth and I could not be more excited!
